Pearsall, Capogreco Receive ‘Excellence in French’ Award

Liverpool High School senior Beth Pearsall and junior Nicholas Capogreco have received a 2019 Excellence in French Award from the American Association of Teachers of French (AATF).
Pearsall has studied French for five years. She is a member of the LHS French Club and French Honor Society. She also has participated in National French Week activities.
Capogreco has studied French for four years. He has participated in National French Week activities and is a member of the French Honor Society.
Both are students in Anna Burns’ French classes at LHS.
The AATF Excellence in French Award is presented annually to a student who has demonstrated excellence in the study of French as well as exceptional commitment to the French language and the many cultures where it is spoken. Recipients must be non-native speakers of French.
The AATF was founded in 1927 and its mission is to promote the study of the French language and French-speaking cultures at all levels.
