LHS Juniors Explore Their Digital Footprint
Tuesday, January 10, 2017
For high school students it is a social media world. They receive and share information daily using any number of online platforms, but sometimes they forget their friends aren’t the only ones who may see what they post.
So, the Liverpool High School Library and Guidance Departments recently collaborated on a seminar to help LHS juniors prepare for life after high school.
Since the students will soon start considering colleges and careers, LHS guidance counselors introduced them to Naviance, a college and career preparedness Web site to help them identify their strengths, explore career interests, and create an academic plan.
But knowing where they will go and what they want to do is only half the battle. LHS library media specialists reminded the juniors that their digital footprint could have an impact on their future and provided them with tips on how to create a positive presence online.
LHS juniors had the opportunity to attend the seminar during their English classes.
